DESCRIPTION
Photograph of General James Wilson Jr. of Keene New Hampshire. He was the son of James and Elizabeth (Steele) Wilson and was born in Peterborough in 1797. He was a lawyer in Keene and was the captain of the Keene Light Infantry, rising to the rank of colonel and later major general. He also served in the legislature for 14 terms. He married Mary Lord Richardson of Montpelier VT and had several children. He died in 1881.

DESCRIPTION
Photograph of Horatio J. Perry of Keene New Hampshire. He was born in Keene in 1824, the son of Justus and Mary (Edwards) Perry and graduated from Harvard in 1844. He studied law and joined the U.S. forces during the Mexican war. He was later appointed to Spain during Pres. Taylor's administration in 1849 and held that position for 20 years. In 1852 he married Carolina Corenado, the poet-laureate of Spain. He died in Lisbon Portugal in 1891.
